Jose Mourinho says Manchester United could not be more motivated to reach the Europa League final by overcoming Celta Vigo, claiming it’s ‘the most important match of our history’.
United have the advantage going into Thursday’s second leg at Old Trafford after winning 1-0 in Spain last week.
When it was put to Mourinho that Celta are approaching the game as the biggest match they have ever faced, he insisted that United are equally determined to reach the final of Europe’s secondary competition in Stockholm in two weeks’ time even though the club have been European champions on three occasions.
