Jose Mourinho attacked Paul Pogba's critics and claimed 'envy' is dictating an agenda against the most expensive player in world football.
Pogba has been heavily scrutinised for his performances this season, something which came to a head after Monday night's defeat FA Cup defeat by Chelsea.
Mourinho bemoaned that society has lost sight of reality after pundits suggested Manchester United were not enjoying value for money from the central midfielder, who celebrated his 24th birthday on Wednesday.
'I feel that the world is losing values and envy is coming to certain levels that I'm scared with - especially with the next generations,' Mourinho said.
