Manchester United made the most surprising piece of business this summer as Jonny Evans made a surprise return to the club, eight years since he last played for them.
Before his appearance off the bench in Manchester United's 1-0 pre-season win over Lyon on Wednesday, Evans last played for the Red Devils on May 9, 2015 - just under 3,000 days ago.
That day, Evans came on as a 40th minute substitute during a 2-1 victory away at Crystal Palace.
A lot has changed since that day, the Red Devils have had five managers since Louis van Gaal who led the team out that day and only one player in the entire matchday squad is still at the club.
