John McGinn has hailed the impact of Aston Villa’s loan stars and backed Marcus Rashford to score his first goal for the club when the Champions League resumes on Tuesday.
Villa take on Club Brugge in the first leg of their last 16 tie determined to avenge their defeat here in the league phase last November — when Rashford and fellow winter signing Marco Asensio were still with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
Asensio has scored four times already at Villa and while Rashford has shown flashes of his ability in his six appearances, he has still to get off the mark.
