Jamie Carragher questions Manchester United's handling of the Mason Greenwood situation, saying: 'What decision would they have come to if these stories hadn't been leaked?'

Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United have 'come to the right decision' over Mason Greenwood - but questioned whether they would've got there without extreme backlash from the public.

After a six-month internal investigation into Greenwood's dropped attempted rape, assault and coercive control charges, Manchester United announced that the forward would not play for the club again in a statement on Monday.

However, it was reported last week that Red Devils CEO Richard Arnold had initially planned to announce Greenwood's reintegration to his staff and the general public in the first week of August.
