Lauren James said her full England debut was a dream come true as the forward shone on an underwhelming night for the Lionesses.
James was the brightest spark in a 0-0 draw with the Czech Republic, hitting the post in the fourth minute and impressing with her intelligent and powerful play.
The Chelsea forward was given her debut against Austria in August after impressing Sarina Wiegman during pre-season but her first start was a significant milestone. Wiegman has given just four debuts during 24 matches in charge but James, who attended the Euros final as a fan, has clearly made an impact in her short time with the senior squad.
