Marcus Rashford will receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Manchester this summer for his campaign against child poverty.
The Manchester United striker — who, at 22, will become the youngest recipient in the University's history — teamed up with charity FareShare to raise £20million for food donations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rashford also helped convince the government to extend their food voucher scheme for children on free school meals throughout the summer holidays.
