Ray Wilkins has criticised Antoine Griezmann’s decision to stay at Atletico Madrid saying it ‘shows a lack of ambition’.
The French striker has been heavily linked with a world record transfer to Manchester United but announced on Sunday that to leave Atletico now would be a ‘dirty move’.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport earlier this week upheld a ban on the club registering new players in this transfer window leaving them unable to sign any replacements should Griezmann have decided to leave.
However, former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder Wilkins believes the stance taken by the 26-year-old forward highlights a lack of determination.
