John Terry has laughed off Wayne Rooney's admission that he once wore longer studs in a clash against Chelsea because he wanted to 'hurt someone' - despite being left with a hole in his foot after an altercation.
Rooney stepped out in a crunch showdown for Manchester United in April 2006 determined to leave his mark on someone, and it was veteran defender Terry who was left crumpled in pain following a full-blooded challenge.
Just seven minutes in, the striker hurtled into the tackle, which left Terry down on the pitch and needing treatment - and also saw the stretcher brought out.
