Marcus Rashford has been lauded as 'more than just a footballer' amid his efforts to pressure the government into reversing their decision over the food voucher scheme.
The Manchester United striker's first coach, Dave Horrocks, helped nurture Rashford's talent as a youngster at Fletcher Moss Rangers and spoke with immense pride at his former player's activism.
Rashford has written an open letter to MPS, urging them to make a U-turn on the decision to stop providing meals to help low-income families during the school summer holidays.
The scheme was brought in in March while schools were shut under coronavirus lockdown.
