The Manchester United youth system has produced 115 homegrown internationals to date, endorsing its reputation for producing footballers capable of playing at the highest level.
Some 24 countries have been represented by graduates from Old Trafford and that impressive total began with ‘Gentleman’ Johnny Carey for Ireland. It was extended in June when Academy graduate Marcus Rashford and Tom Heaton, now with Burnley, appeared for England against Australia.
The number will increase in this international break if Michael Keane makes his senior debut for the Three Lions in Friday's World Cup qualifying match against Scotland, or in Tuesday's friendly with Spain.
