Lyon beat Real Madrid and Manchester United to the signing of 16-year-old striker Rayan Cherki, according to club president Jean-Michel Aulas.
Cherki signed professional terms at the Ligue 1 club in 2019 and scored his first senior goal in January this year.
He has drawn comparisons to Real Madrid star and former Lyon academy graduate Karim Benzema, and Aulas predicts that he will go to the top of the game.
'He is good enough to go to the highest level,' Aulas told Telefoot.
