Gareth Southgate 'has measured Harry Maguire his England place isn't under threat' despite Erik ten Hag dropping him from Manchester United's side.

The United captain started their first two Premier League games of the season but lost his place to Lisandro Martinez after the 4-0 loss at Brentford.

Summer arrival Martinez and Raphael Varane have since formed a solid central defensive partnership as United have won their three subsequent games.
