Hakan Calhanoglu set to remain at AC Milan, claims manager Stefano Pioli despite midfielder's deal expiring in June amid rumours linking him to Man United

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli says he is confident Hakan Calhanoglu will commit his future to the Serie A side, amid reports of interest from Manchester United.

Calhanoglu's current deal runs out this summer, meaning he can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January, and United have been linked with making a move for the attacking midfielder.

The 26-year-old was on the scoresheet in Milan's 3-2 victory over Lazio on Wednesday. After the game, Pioli played down any uncertainty over his player's future, insisting he remains a key part of his squad.
