Manchester United defender Guillermo Varela has praised manager Jose Mourinho, telling the Manchester Evening News he learnt a lot from him in a short space of time.
Varela, given his chance in the first team by former United boss Louis van Gaal toward the end of last season, is currently on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt.
He voiced his gratitude to Van Gaal, saying: "I will always be thankful to him and the club for what I experienced.
"It's a big club and it's definitely not normal to give that chance to a young player, but that showed his confidence.
