Getafe have appealed a straight red card shown to Mason Greenwood earlier this week in a tense battle with Rayo Vallecano according to reports.
Greenwood was given his marching orders in the 50th minute of Tuesday's clash with Rayo Vallecano with his side already down to 10 and two goals down at home for dissent.
The forward has been with the LaLiga outfit since summer transfer deadline day when he arrived from Manchester United, and has gone on to be an important player for Getafe.
However Tuesday's red card could see him face a lengthy suspension, after referee Jorge Figueroa Vasquez judged his furious reaction to not receiving a foul to be crossing the line, claiming after the match that Greenwood had said 'F*** you!
