Gary Neville slams FA again for handling of Wayne Rooney's late night drinking as he accuses them of 'throwing captain overboard'

Gary Neville has once again criticised the Football Association over their handling of Wayne Rooney's drinking binge while on England duty last month.

The England captain was photographed with wine-stained lips after drinking with a wedding party at the team's hotel, just hours before he was due to report for training.

Rooney was one of a number of England players who were out late that night and he later apologised to manager Gareth Southgate.
