Gareth Southgate stands by Harry Maguire as he's named in England squad for Nations League - as £85m Man Utd captain's drunken bar brawl and 'bid to bribe Mykonos police' is played out in Greek court without him

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been named in the England squad this afternoon despite his ongoing Greek court battle for allegedly assaulting and attempting to bribe police officers in Mykonos.

Maguire, 27, faces charges of assault, verbal abuse, assault against police officers and attempted bribery after the alleged fight on the holiday island last week.

The £85m star flew home on Sunday after two nights in prison and remained in the UK ahead of his trial.
