The weather was better than the conditions underfoot as Manchester United players trained at FC Rostov's Olimp-2 stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The sun shone down on the Reds, ahead of Thursday's Europa League Round of 16 first-leg clash against FC Rostov, but the playing surface was less than perfect and could prove extremely tricky for Jose Mourinho's men, with the manager particularly unhappy that the match is taking place given the pitch's current state.
"It is still hard for me to believe that we are going to play tomorrow on that field - if you can call it a field," he admitted in his pre-match press conference.
