The Reds were without both Gabby George and Jess Simpson for the majority of last season, after the pair each suffered ACL injuries in the autumn.
George was forced off in a 1-1 Women's Super League draw against Leicester City in mid-October, and the manager revealed that he expected the defender to be absent for around 12 months.
Just a few days later, the club reported that a similar fate had befallen Simpson, who was in the midst of a season-long loan arrangement at Bristol City.
The pair were unable to feature in any of the season's remaining games, and had to watch on as the Reds blazed to a first piece of major silverware by winning the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
