Former Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson one of 11 players released by the Class of 92's Salford after the League Two season was ended early due to coronavirus

Former Manchester United and Everton midfielder Darron Gibson is one of 11 players released by Salford City following the end of the League Two season.

The clubs in the fourth tier signalled their intention to end the campaign on Friday and decide the final table on points-per-game amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

And Salford, who are part-owned by members of United's famous Class of 92, have wasted little time in deciding which of their squad to retain and release.
