Fans have been left flummoxed after Edinson Cavani was not sent off for a throat grab on Yerry Mina in Manchester United's Carabao Cup quarter final against Everton.
The Goodison Park clash, which is being refereed by Andy Madeley without the support of VAR, saw Cavani involved in a heated exchange with the Colombian in the early stages of the second half.
The Uruguayan striker appeared to put his hand on the defender's throat, but the incident was not spotted by Madeley, and with no VAR in place the incident could not be reviewed.
