David de Gea has reportedly made a gigantic call over his future in football.
The goalkeeper has been a free agent since leaving Manchester United after 12 years in July.
De Gea, 33, is keen to get back in to football and could arguably still command a big contract, with many goalkeepers playing well in to their 30s.
Mail Sport reported in December that Newcastle were interested in him due to Nick Pope's long-term injury, but would require him to take a wage cut.
However, The Sun reports that De Gea has resolved to stay in his native Spain to hold out for an offer from a LaLiga club, as per sources close to him.
