Jordan Pickford was back to his error-prone worst for Everton following his Euro 2020 heroics for England during the summer.
The goalkeeper made his first appearance for Everton in a pre-season on Saturday and gifted Manchester United the lead after just eight minutes.
He allowed Lucas Digne's headed backwards pass to bounce off his body and into the path of Mason Greenwood who gleefully fired United ahead.
