The round-of-16 first legs of the 2016-17 UEFA Europa League will take place on Thursday, as Manchester United travel all the way to Russia to face FC Rostov and AS Roma do battle with Lyon in France.
Most neutral fans will keep their eye on those two matches, but there are plenty of other intriguing ties taking place all over the continent. The all-German contest between Schalke 04 and Borussia Monchengladbach should be a good one, and the clash between Gent and Genk will ensure at least one Belgian team makes it to the quarter-finals.
