Ratcliffe’s sporting director Sir Dave Brailsford was at Carrington on Sunday for a tour of the training ground and an informal chat with Ten Hag and other club staff.
Brailsford’s visit came after he watched United’s 21st defeat of the year at the City Ground on Saturday evening, the most since 1972.
