Erik ten Hag reveals Casemiro is expected to be out until after Christmas with a hamstring problem, as the Red Devils are dealt another injury blow

Manchester United have suffered another major injury blow after Erik ten Hag revealed that Casemiro could be sidelined until after Christmas due to a hamstring injury.

The Brazil star was expected to be out of action for several weeks after limping out of last week’s Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle at half-time.

But Ten Hag confirmed that Casemiro has joined Lisandro Martinez on the long-term casualty list and may not be in action again until the New Year.

Asked about some of his injured players, which also include Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, Ten Hag said: ‘I have some time schedules, yeah, but it's always difficult to predict that because they can get setbacks during the rehab period so I'm always holding back on some issue.
