Erik ten Hag faces THREE 'defining games' before the end of the season to convince Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos he should stay as Manchester United manager, claims Gary Neville

Erik ten Hag needs to prove himself in three 'defining games' before the end of the season to remain as Manchester United manager, believes Gary Neville.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe's 25 per cent stake in Manchester United has seen Ineos take control of football operations, with a number of changes planned off the pitch.

Neville is of the opinion that a decision on whether Ten Hag remains as manager will likely be defined by how he performs in the biggest games - starting with this afternoon's Manchester derby.

'Ten Hag's got two [games] against Liverpool and one against City.
