Edinson Cavani is forced to delay his Manchester United debut after being told to stay in quarantine following move from France, meaning he will miss clash with Newcastle... meaning new star's first match will be against former side PSG

Edinson Cavani will be made to wait for his Manchester United debut after being forced to self-isolate following his deadline-day move to Old Trafford.

As revealed by Sportsmail, talks between the 33-year-old and United advanced quickly on the final day of the transfer window, before he put pen to paper on a two-year deal with United on wages of around £210,000 per week after tax.

Apart from a brief holiday in Ibiza, Cavani has been living among the general population in France rather than in a secure bubble after seeing out his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
