Dwight Yorke has been slammed and urged to show more respect after he brutally labelled Macarthur FC a 'pub team' before he departed the A-League side.
Representatives from the Camden Tigers over-35s division five squad – who play in the Macarthur Football Association in Sydney's south-west - were staggered at the vicious comments from the Manchester United legend.
The general consensus was Yorke should not heavily criticise professional players given his limited management credentials - and insult the amateur players who mean so much to the sport in the process.
'I think it's a bit rich for Dwight Yorke to come down here and end his association with the region like that,' Camden Tigers veteran Rick Parker told Yahoo Sport Australia.
