Southampton have reacted furiously to the roles played by Mike Dean and Lee Mason in their defeats to Manchester United and Aston Villa by 'demanding the pair don't referee their games in the near future'.
The Saints reportedly made the extraordinary request in the aftermath of their 9-0 hammering by United on Tuesday evening, that saw both Alexandre Jankewitz and Jan Bednarek sent off at Old Trafford.
Southampton were also livid with the role Mason played in their 1-0 defeat by Villa last Saturday, which saw them denied a clear penalty and have an injury-time equaliser ruled out by the tightest of offside margins.
