David Moyes hopes his decision to turn down Danny Welbeck does not come back to haunt him when West Ham host Brighton tomorrow.
The Hammers boss has revealed he considered signing the free-agent striker after he terminated his contract with Watford in October.
But Moyes passed up on the chance to be reunited with Welbeck - who he managed at Manchester United - because of his injury record and now must try and keep him out when the Seagulls visit the London Stadium.
Welbeck, 30, came off the bench to score Brighton's late equaliser against Sheffield United last Sunday.
