David De Gea has said Manchester United’s ‘massive’ 2-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night shows our strength of character.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men came away from the Parc des Princes with another famous Champions League victory, thanks to Bruno Fernandes’s first-half penalty and Marcus Rashford’s late winner.

David, who was part of the side who overcame PSG 19 months ago in Paris, knows the importance of starting our European group with three points.

“It’s massive,”

he told MUTV after the game.

“You play away the first game against PSG and you know they’re a difficult, top team. To get the three points today for us is massive.

“It gives us confidence to keep going and now we have another big game on Saturday.
