Cristiano Ronaldo watched his Manchester United team-mates take on Wrexham in a training ground friendly - as the wantaway forward's future remains up in the air.

The 37-year-old forward returned to Carrington for a second day on Wednesday but played no part in the behind-closed-doors match.

Ronaldo returned to the United fold on Tuesday having missed all of the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia having asked to leave Old Trafford.
