Cristiano Ronaldo has been having a season to forget at Real Madrid and his fall from grace has been further highlighted by an apparent drop in the list of the best-paid footballers in the world.
Spanish newspaper Marca released their updated list of football's 10 biggest salaries, revealing the current Ballon d'Or winner is not only significantly behind his arch-rival Lionel Messi, but is not even in the top five.
Ronaldo, with an annual salary of €21million (£18.5m), is only good enough for sixth in the list, behind three Chinese Super League players, Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar and the aforementioned Messi.
