Ray Wilkins’ family have been invited to the FA Cup final later this month to honour the former England international who died in April.
Wilkins suffered a cardiac arrest and despite receiving treatment at St George's Hospital in Tooting, south-west London, he passed away, aged just 61.
Wilkins played for both of this year’s finalists during an illustrious career, starting with Chelsea where he was named captain while still a teenager.
When the Blues were relegated from the First Division in 1979, Wilkins moved to Manchester United, and he helped them win the 1983 FA Cup by scoring in the final against Brighton.
