The World Cup qualifying match took place in the early hours of Friday morning at Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba and our popular no.18 was substituted after 79 minutes.
The home side took a 50th-minute lead through Gabriel Magalhaes and looked set for a slender victory, until Eduard Bello made it 1-1 in the 85th minute with a stunning overhead kick.
Speaking after the match, Brazil manager Diniz provided reporters with more detail on Casemiro's departure.
“As there was a stop (in play), I decided to make the three substitutions,” Diniz told Globo Esporte.
