Casemiro was sent off for a horror challenge on midfielder Carlos Alcaraz during Manchester United's match against Southampton.
The Brazilian appeared to lunge for a lose ball with his studs up, catching the opposition man on the front of his shin.
Referee Anthony Taylor reached to his pocket and awarded him a yellow card, but was advised to review the tackle on the pitchside monitor ultimately escalating his decision up to a red card reducing United to ten men.
It is the second time this season that the 31-year-old has been sent off for Man United after he was also sent down the tunnel against Crystal Palace earlier this season.
