Carlos Carvalhal aims to upset Jose Mourinho on his first visit to Old Trafford, even though he acknowledges his fellow Portuguese as "our king of football".
The two men are good friends and studied for their UEFA Pro Licence together, while Mourinho invited Carvalhal to watch training sessions when he was in charge at Chelsea and Real Madrid.
But Swansea's Premier League visit to Manchester United on Saturday will be the first time that Carvalhal and Mourinho have been in opposite dug-outs.
"He is an inspiration, our king of football," Swansea manager Carvalhal said.
