It was supposed to be the thing that tipped the scales in Manchester United's favour.
When all of Europe's elite clubs were circling around Erling Haaland in January, his relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was the secret weapon that United could use to sign the hottest prospect in football.
Indeed Solskjaer, having worked with Haaland at Molde, was so desperate to strike a deal that he travelled to Salzburg in December to meet the player and left convinced it was wrapped up.
That never happened though, with Haaland eventually opting for an £18million move to Borussia Dortmund, where he has since thrived - with 12 goals in his first 11 appearances.
