Burnley striker Wout Weghorst is discussing a loan move to Hoffenheim.
The towering 31-year-old spent last season on two loans, firstly at Besiktas and latterly at Manchester United.
In Turkey he scored nine times in 18 appearances and his agreement there was terminated after he impressed the bosses at United.
Despite bringing others into play well, a return of two goals in 31 outings in his surprise stint with the Red Devils was widely considered sub-par and he could now leave Turf Moor for a third loan.
To the public eye, he cut an unhappy figure during Burnley's relegation in 2021/22 and he had a verbal agreement with the Lancashire outfit that he could depart if they dropped into the Championship.
