The ceremony, held at the Centro Cultural de Belem, in Lisbon, saw a number of players and coaches from the men's and women's game, plus the worlds of beach football and futsal, commended by the Portuguese Football Federation.
Fernandes received an award alongside Selecao team-mate and Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, with whom he made his debut for Portugal's Under-19 side, back in 2012.
"It's my first memory for the national team," Bruno said. "It was a special milestone for me and it was great to share that moment with Bernardo.
"Being in the national team means being among the best, whatever the sport or age group.
