Bruno Fernandes wins Premier League player of the month award as he matches achievement of two former Man United stars

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been named the Premier League player of the month for March.

As reported by the Premier League's official website, it is the fifth time that Fernandes has won the award but his first in nearly five years.

All of Fernandes' previous accolades came in 2020 - the year in which he joined United - as he triumphed in February, June, November and December.

Last month Fernandes had four goal involvements as United were unbeaten in the Premier League.

The Portuguese star scored a free-kick in a 1-1 draw Arsenal and was also on the scoresheet against Leicester - a game in which he provided two assists.
