Bournemouth are looking to beat Luton Town to the signing of Ecuador U20 midfielder Oscar Zambrano.
The highly-rated 19-year-old from Ecuadorian side LDU Quito has also been scouted by Brighton and Manchester United.
Luton were willing to propose around £4million to sign him but Bournemouth are expected to trump that offer.
The midfielder has made 14 appearances for the Ecuador U20 national side, with Mail Sport previously reporting last month that Luton were interested in him.
The 5ft 7in youngster is a defensive midfielder by trade, with Zambrano notably coming from the same football academy in Ecuador as his compatriot, Moises Caicedo.
