Bastian Schweinsteiger should 'make Manchester United bleed', slams Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness

Bastian Schweinsteiger 'should make Manchester United bleed' for the way he has been treated at the club, claims Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness.

The German midfielder arrived at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal last summer, but his debut season was interrupted by a loss of fitness and form before Jose Mourinho deemed him surplus to requirements this term.

Although the 32-year-old was included in United's squad for the weekend's 1-1 draw with West Ham, this is believed to be a means of easing through a January transfer - with several MLS clubs reportedly interested.

Bayern chief Hoeness, however, insists the iconic midfielder should see out the rest of his contract while continuing to pick up his high wages as 'punishment' for his treatment at United.
