The Ivory Coast international started the match at Wembley Stadium as part of a back three, but unfortunately had to leave the field shortly before the half-time break.
Having already collided with Blues defender Kurt Zouma, Bailly then clashed heads with team-mate Harry Maguire and required medical attention straight away.
Eric was taken off the pitch on a stretcher and it was later confirmed that he went straight to hospital for further tests, following all of the protocols in place for such an incident.
United fans around the world have been understandably concerned about Bailly’s welfare and, in an effort to reassure supporters, the centre-back posted a personal update on social media.
