Avram Glazer is reportedly planning to make a rare appearance by attending Manchester United's Carabao Cup final against Newcastle at Wembley on Sunday.
It comes amid the Glazer family potentially selling the club after a controversial, debt-burdening 18 years at Old Trafford.
Glazer's presence at Wembley would no doubt further stir up tension among United fans - who have continued to be vocal in their anger towards the club's owners even since talk around a sale first began.
The club received indicative offers last Friday, with chemicals firm INEOS, led by long-time fan Jim Ratcliffe, and Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani confirming they had made bids.
