Arturo Vidal has outlined his intention to sign a new Bayern Munich contract amid speculation Manchester United could make a move to sign him in the summer.
The 30-year-old has 18 months remaining on his present deal with the Bundesliga champions and wants to remain in Germany beyond that timeframe.
His future in the squad beyond the end of the season has been placed under scrutiny after Bayern announced the signing of Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka in January.
But Vidal is fully prepared to battle for his position when Goretzka arrives on a free in July.
