Antoine Griezmann 'wants to stay with Atletico Madrid', insists club president Enrique Cerezo despite interest from Manchester United and Barcelona

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says Antoine Griezmann wants to remain at the club and believes the striker's recent comments about Paris Saint-Germain were meant as a joke.

Manchester United targeted Griezmann in the summer and were close to signing him before Atletico's transfer ban scuppered the potential deal.

Reports in Spain suggested Barcelona had since stolen a march in the race for Griezmann's signature and were already in advanced negotiations for the striker.
