Anthony Martial was reprimanded by Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after returning back late from Paris on Christmas Day.
The normally amiable Solskjaer is understood to have shown his sterner side after Martial failed to turn up on time for the United squad's 6pm training session on Christmas Day and subsequent stay at the Lowry Hotel.
Martial stayed away from United's Boxing Day win over Huddersfield Town and Solskjaer blamed the French striker's absence on illness saying: 'He must have had a bad chef over Christmas. If it's food poisoning or something.
